Every year around 12 Lakh candidates appear in the exam. This year as many as 11,48,000 candidates appear for jee main 2018, which is 50,989 less than last year. Out of 12 Lakh approximate students only 1 Lakh students prepare seriously. The rest 11lakh approximate only chase the people and don't know much about jee main and just fill the form.   You only have competition with 1 Lakh candidate.

Out of 12 Lakh approximate the 2lakh 24 thousand are eligible for jee advance exam.
