Dear Aspirant,

Gap certificates are primarily asked in the admission procedure of various colleges. For example, if you have passed your 12th in 2018 and take a drop year to prepare for NEET and then you appear in NEET 2019 then the academic year 2018-19 was your gap year. Suppose you clear the exam and got admission in some college then the administration there will ask you to produce a GAP YEAR AFFIDAVIT. This is compulsory in almost all of the colleges in India at both UG or PG level.

You could get your gap affidavit from TEHSIL in a single working day. So if you were to apply for some colleges after taken a drop year, I suggest you should get your affidavit ASAP.

Hope this helps.

Thank You.

Is the gap year affidavit required even when you were in a college (during the assumed gap yearly) and decide to drop the course as well as college and join a different college?
