CAT score is valid for one year. Apart from 20 IIMs, there are many government and private management institutes which accept CAT score for their admission process. Last year, 116 institutes across India accepted CAT score.

Absolute authenticity is what CAT percentile is boastful of. CAT percentile is very precisely scaled through an automation process, looking into the difficulty level of each section of the respective slots (morning and afternoon slot)  and it's how the cumulative scores are derived for every student and percentiles are calculated.
CAT scores, as of now, are valid only for one year i.e., solely for that academic year however they are discourses going on to consider the CAT scores for two years so that students can leverage this opportunity to complete their PGs too. However this is still in its naive phase and nothing has been deliberated much about it.
