Yes, it is a better option. You can do MS Astrophysics from Raman Research Laboratory, Bangalore. They give good practical knowledge as well as good knowledge about concepts. It was Founded by Prof. C V Raman. The Institute's main fields of research are Astronomy and Astrophysics, Light and Matter Physics, Soft Condensed Matter and Theoretical Physics. So this would be preferable.
