For BITS, If one includes all the expenses then the total cost for studying in BITS PILANI would come out to be around 15 lakhs for B.E (2018–222).

For IIT's Approximately Rs. 10 Lakhs for four years for general category students. The fees is slightly lesser for the students with parents earning less than 5 lakhs per annum. If you belong to SC St obc etc.. Categories, the fees will be much lesser (no tuition fees i.e. almost Rs. 2.5 lakhs lesser than 10 Lakhs).

Well, the total fees amount is not fixed in all NITs. It varies a little from institute to institute. However, the tuition fees is same in all NITs. According to MHRD tuition fees is Rs.35000 per semester at present which includes hostel, mess, electricity and water bill etc.
