UGEE is an undergraduate engineering entrance examination. 

This entrance exam is conducted by IIIT (International Institute of Information technology), Hyderabad for admission into 5 years B.Tech program and to all dual degree programs (ECD, CSD, CND, and CLD) and after qualifying this entrance exam there is an interview, on the basis of which selection in IIIT takes place.

Dual degree programs might give you a better opportunity to get a Ph.D. from abroad. It's really difficult for Dual Degree people to get good jobs which B. Tech graduates get. This doesn't really mean that Duals don't dont get great jobs, but its more difficult for them.
