Amout of urine sample required for urinalysis is 30 to 60 milliliters. It is sufficient amount for all type of checkup. One should collect this amount in container and deliver the sample to doctor as instructed by them.

Urinate at least 1 or 2 ounces is sufficient for urinalysis. But this should be in a clean container. This can be collected any time but in some cases, you need to urinate in the morning because it is more likely to detect the abnormalities because it is more concentrated.
