Few basic important concepts like, Calculus, Vector Algebra, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, Energy Conservation, Newton's law will be required for 12th and Engineering also

Hi, It depends on your stream and also what subjects you have.
Yes 11th class subjects are a base for 12th class core syllabus.
You should not just mug up but understand the basics as well.
