Hello Raj,

Business Schools or B-Schools are the post graduation colleges where you can develop yourself as a manager or businessman. They provide you with immense oppotunities and vivid exposures to develop your business acumen. Generally they have a two year program called as PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) or MBA (Masters of Business Administration). They also have single year course called Executive MBA, which is designed only for work experienced people. Some of B-schools also have FPM (Fellowship Program in Management), which is a doctoral program.

To take admission in an Indian B-School you need to clear CAT (Common Admission Test) which is held every year in month of November/December. CAT gives you chance to be a student of family of IIM (Indian Institute of Management), most of which are considered to be top B-Schools of India. Apart from CAT, there are various other exams such as SNAP, NMAT, CMAT etc. which helps you to get admission in other big private B-schools of India such as Sybiosis, Narsee Munjee etc.

For going outside India to do MBA, you need to clear GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) and one english proficiency test like GRE, IELTS depending upon the country in which you have to go.

Hope I have cleared your queries to some extent.

I am sorry to inform you that you cannot apply for any B-School after 12th itself. Since they have Post - graduation program, you have to atleast clear your bachelor's degree first.

Hi Aspirant,

Business Schools also referred as B-School,are the colleges that offer Management course to the students, that is MBA(Master of Business Administration) or PGDM(Post Graduate Diploma in Management).

As it's name suggests B-School where 'B' stands for Business ,students are taught courses relating to Businesses and Corporate houses or Management studies. They are taught courses relating to various specialisation fields like Marketing,Human Resource, Information Technology, Operations etc which hold high importance in the corporate world.

As for the admission ,all B-School have a different criteria and process.Generally, admissions in B-School are based on the scores of exams like CAT,MAT,XAT,CMAT,GMAT etc depending upon the college as to which score they accept.

For taking admission in any B-School,you need to get an appropriate score of the above exams ,accepted by that college.

Hope,I'm able to answer well.

Thank you.

All the best!
