If you are pursuing BMS then you have three options to choose from in second year i.e. marketing, HR and finance. So in which field your interest is you choose from them. And you you taking a 1 year gap then you should start some side course which many institutes provide, so that you can gain some knowlegkn in that field. It will also look good in your CV.

• Doing MBA. 
• Msc in Finance
• A professional course like CA ( Chartered accountancy ), CFA ( Chartered financial analyst), CS, CMA and CIMA. 
• Law. You can pursue an LLB 
• A startup. 
• Take a job like You could also join an organization in either the HR team, finance team, marketing team or the operations team to gather some experience and to understand the corporate world.
