I would like to inform you that yes you have to study ionic equilibrium for JEE mains as well as for advanced. And you have to study Solubility product, PH calculations for all the types of solutions,Titration and buffer. A question from ionic can appear in both jee M and A but I cannot guarantee that the question will come from this topic. Thing I can guarantee is that it will be used in Electro-chemistry and it may also have applications in some questions of other topics.
