What are documents required to get NRI Quota seat in Medical colleges

Hi dear,

For NRI admission, candidates should bring the original and self-attested copies of documents given below:
*Two copies of the online registration form
*NEET 2019 Score Card
*Allotment Letter
*Mark sheet of 10+2 (senior school certificate examination) or its equivalent, along with mark sheet of 11th grade and secondary examination (10th class)
*Date of Birth Certificate
*Copy of photo ID (driving licence / PAN card / Voter *ID / School ID card / Aadhaar card)
*4 Passport size photos similar to the one affixed on the registration form
*Proof of sponsorship in the form of a certificate issued by the Indian embassy or Ministry of external affairs. In the absence of this certificate, a duly notarized undertaking (notarized by the Notary Public of the foreign country) executed by the sponsor must be submitted. The certificate should also be sufficient to be proof of residence for the sponsor and must be issued on or after the date of NEET 2019 examination.
In the case of sponsorship, an affidavit from the sponsor stating that he/she looks after such student and will sponsor the entire course fee must also be submitted.
*Address of parents and local (Indian) guardian. Any of the documents listed below can be submitted by ward of the NRI (including PIO/OCI) in this regard:
>Electricity or Water bill
>Documents of immovable property
>Indian Passport or Ration Card or Voter ID or >Aadhaar Card


Candidates seeking NRI admission should note that respective colleges will ensure the NRI status of the applicant at their own level.

Under Medical Council of India MCI Guidelines for MBBS Admission under NRI Quota

The percentage of NRI students to be admitted for MBBS shall not exceed 15% of total intake.

The following guidelines shall be followed for admission to NRI students.


Admission to the NRI seats may be made on the basis of the marks in the qualifying examination.

NRI financially supporting the candidate must be a blood relative such as Father / Mother / Brother / Sister / Uncle / Aunt only.

The applicant for admission under NRI Quota shall not have completed 21 years of age as on the 1st of July of that respective academic year.

Candidate must furnish the photocopies of the following supporting documents:

NRI Status Certificate of the financial supporter issued by the Embassy of the respective country under their seal.

NRI Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter

Passport of the Financial Supporter

Nativity Certificate of the Financial Supporter
