Hello Aspirant,

  • Polytechnic students have higher edge in practical areas of repair and maintenance, compared to the higher theoretical inputs gained through regular four year engineering. Additionally a polytechnic student can also go for engineering degree.
  • Polytechnic students might not earn fabulous salaries compared to their four year engg. graduates, but they would not go hungry as well.
  • You can also join B.Tech program after completing polytechnic in the diploma of engineering. You can take admission in B.Tech through two examinations. One is through lateral entry entrance examination and other is engineering entrance examination.there are a lot ]of benefits for the combination of btech and diploma in the current scnario.

I hope this helps.
