GK in CMAT is a scoring subject which can be used to increase your percentile, I am also an example of the one who has increased the percentile of CMAT by scoring good in GK, So take GK section seriously, Now for GK section in CMAT questions comes from both static GK and current affairs, Static GK is a vast topic so I will not tell you give more time cover all the topics of it, However you can spent the time in current affairs as that will be generally of last 1 year and it will not difficult to cover it, So, I advise you to cover current affairs of 1 year with some static GK which you can cover in time. Work hard.
