Getting a well paying job after studying Biotechnology depends mainly on your college. Like even for a decent college like NIT Raipur (where I study) the chances of landing a Job for someone from the Biotechnology department is almost zero. Let alone taking a good package. If you go to a college of this stature, a master degree is necessary.

But the story for IITs is different. Also they have students who work harder in the field of Biotechnology, something students of my college don't do.

The course including biology are biotechnology engineering, biomedical engineering, biochemical engineering etc.
