ECE stands for electronics and communication engineering
EIE is electronics and instrumentation engineering
Practically speaking your cant really compare branches but if you really want to i would suggest ECE as it has a higher scope in terms of placement . But EIE from a good institution is equally respectable. Hope this helps.

Hello Saikiran,

The ECE stands for ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING where as EIE stands for 2 things and that are:

1) ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION ENGINEERING

2) ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING.

Asuming that you are talking with respect to 2nd one then i would suggest you to go for ECE as you will have more opportunities while campus placements. And if you are talking with respect to the 1st one then i would suggest you to go with EIE.

I hope you will find my answer helpful.

All the best.
