It is very difficult to understand Indian parents. They have a different style of parenting. Cliches, stereotypes and a habit of intervention is found in every Indian parent and that's why our parents are what constitutes a 'typical' Indian parents. Parents think that they are protecting their children by hiding certain things about life & society but actually, they are making them more vulnerable to commit those mistakes. Indian parents are never ready to let their child go and explore things on their own. I am not saying every Indian parent is like this, some of them are changing with time.

Still, in India, parents don't discuss topics like Menstruation, Puberty, Sex. They are not comfortable in discussing all this with their children but they should discuss all this. It's better to tell your children on your own. They never make efforts so that their children can talk to them freely about any problem. Children are scared to talk to their parents. I think this gap between parents & children needs to be filled for proper upbringing.
