The five-kingdom classification included in the NCERT Solutions for Class 11 Biology Chapter 2 Biological Classification.

R.H. Whittaker classified organisms into five kingdoms:

  • Monera (bacteria)
  • Protista (unicellular eukaryotes)
  • Fungi (saprophytic organisms)
  • Plantae (autotrophic plants)
  • Animalia (heterotrophic animals)
