Physics 11th —

Units and Measurement — This will help you throughout your engineering career.

Basic Mechanics (FBD***, Force projection etc.)

Kinematics — This will be used in Transportation Engineering.

Dynamics (Newton's laws, Momentum principles, Work, Energy and Power etc.) — These are very much helpful in courses on; Fluid Dynamics, Open Channel flow and Hydraulic Machines.

Rotational Motion (CG, Angular velocity, torque, MOI, Theorems of perpendicular and parallel axes) — for courses on structural engineering (SOM, RCC, Steel)

Gravitation (Gravitational potential energy is very important to understand MSL concept in surveying).

Mechanical properties of solids*** (Elastic behaviour of materials, Stress-strain, Hooke's law, etc.) — for courses on structural engineering (SOM, RCC, Steel)

Properties of fluid — for course on Fluid Mechanics.

Thermal properties of matter — for courses on structural engineering (SOM, RCC, Steel)

Oscillations — For structural dynamics and earthquake engineering course.

Physics 12th -

Truly speaking, this is not used anywhere in civil engineering areas. But one should read it!. Because now-a-days people look for multidisciplinaire engineers. So one expect from you that you would know; IGBT, MOSFET, Z-Diode, Capacitors, Resistors, Field Coils, Biot-Savart law, Faradays EMI theory, AC/DC currents etc.

Chemistry (11th+12th) -

Only course on Environmental Engineering will ask you for your concepts in chemistry.

One should have a grip on concepts of Mole, Atomic Mass, Molecular weight, Equivalent weight, Molarity, Normality.

Materials used in Raw water treatment, Waste water Treatment are Inorganic in Nature (ALUM, LIME, Ferrous Salts, etc). Hence one should have a good command over Inorganic Chemistry.

Mathematics (11th + 12th)-

Engineering is the creative application of science, mathematical methods, and empirical evidence to the innovation, design, construction, operation and maintenance of structures, machines, materials, devices, systems, processes, and organizations.
