These are the main branches which you will find almost in every engineering colleges:
1. Computer science
2. Information technology
3. Electronics and communication
4. Electrical and communications
5. Mechanical engineering
6. Civil engineering
There are some other branches which you will find in some of the colleges
These are
1: Aeronautical engineering
2. Production and industrial engineering
3. Chemical engineering
4. Metallurgical engineering

Chemical engineering is a core branch
But during placement number of  companies come in campus is few in number in this branch so you have to go with non core branches( company which allow non - core branches to sit in their placements)
