Hello,

The reasons for high diversity in Tropical regions are :

  • These regions receive more sunlight than any other regions, this helps in more productivity.
  • These regions have less distortions or variations in seasons and have a nearly constant environment.

Best Wishes.

Hello ,

Reasons for high diversity in tropical regions :

  • Frequent Glaciation is common in Temperate Regions , this type of disturbance was absent in tropical regions and therefore species continued to flourish and evolve undisturbed for millions of years and thus had a long evolutionary time for species diversification.
  • Absence of unfavourable seasons in tropical regions , these regions are less seasonal, more constant and predictable. It helps to gain more niche specialisation and species diversity.
  • Environmental Stability
  • Species Area relationship : Species richness increased with the increase in explored area .
