Note that B. Tech is an engineering course. It doesn't matter whether you are studying B. Tech in Biotechnology or any other course that may not seem to be related to the technology of B. Tech.

So, the college will generally see either your:

• JEE Advanced rank or 
• JEE Mains rank or
• your PCM marks
