Biodiversity means the various life forms available on Earth. Biodiversity includes genetic, species, and economic system level. There are 5 billion species which are living on earth. The advantages and disadvantages of biodiversity are mentioned below:

Advantages:

• The biodiversity is very helpful to maintain the food web and food chain.
• Biodiversity also includes plants which are helpful for making environment better and also controls temperature.

Disadvantages:

• The more number of animals and plants increases the population and this can cause more consumption of resources and extinction of resources.
• Excess of biodiversity can cause loss of life by one animal attack over another animal or human.
