Hello aspirant!
Hope you are doing well!

Nonverbal communication is the transfer of information i.e one can use body language including eye contact, facial expressions, gestures and more.
process of conveying meaning without the use of words either written or spoken
For example, smiling when you meet someone conveys friendliness, acceptance and openness.

Importance-
1.
helps in establishing and maintaining the interpersonal relationships while the verbals only help in communicating the external events.
2. : It may add to or complement your verbal message. As a boss, if you pat an employee on the back in addition to giving praise, it can increase the impact of your message

Drawback- It may act as a barrier to communicating effectively as the recipient could not understand what the sender is trying to say and may interpret it wrongly.
People use non-verbals to express emotions and interpersonal attitudes, conduct rituals such as greetings and bring forward one’s personality.

Hope this helps
