What does top 20 percentile mean?Does it indicate that a person has to score a PERCENTILE of 80-100 in his respective boards to be eligible?

Hello,
No it is not so.Every year board authorities releases their top 20 cutoff percentile.This can be 65% or 80% or 70% depending upon the respective boards.You need to visit your board's website to check previous years top 20 percentile because it varies every year.

No top 20 percentile means if 100 students are opting for exam the top 20 students having more marks will be selected.

okay thanks,that means those whose PERCENTILE would range from 80-100 in their respectve boards would only be eligible for nit ,iiit,gfti ?
