It is a radical type addition reaction and it leads to the formation of 1,2 bromide.It is Markonikov reaction and also a regioselectively reaction where two bromine atom gets attached to the two hands of carbon in two respective atoms.The reaction also takes place in the presence of UV light and it is a radical intermediate reaction.
