what if a fail in first sem but my overall cgps is 6.5 so am i eligable for nimcet

You will be still eligible to appear for NIMCET exam even if have failed in your first semester exams, providing that you have cleared that backlog before you sit in the exams. So, after clearing all the backlogs of any semester exams, you will be eligible to sit for NIMCET exam.
Furthermore, The basic NIMCET eligibility criteria requires Indian candidates to be graduates in Science/ IT/ CA/ Technology or Engineering, with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA . NIMCET is the gateway to admission into M.C.A. courses in the 10 participating NITs.
