There can’t be anything good if a third year student clears the GATE 2021. Although, mere clearing the exam won’t help in the long run besides giving a lot of confidence in him/her.

This result can definitely help the students in the future once they get their degree or even before that but let me tell you that the benefits of clearing this exam may vary according to engineering branches. It might add a weight to the resume of a student from CSE/IT/ECE if sits for job placements.

Unfortunately, this is not the case with core engineering branches. Most of them look for higher studies or PSUs. Cracking GATE with a very good rank can fetch them a decent job in one of the top PSUs or an M.Tech offer from an IIT.
