Dear student,

Actually it works for how much seats are still left.

Like in the first round of counselling every students have got there seat according to their rank but some of them leave from the counselling in the second round so that leaved seat will called as a vacant seat and in next round any student will get that one also that's why you have seen that cutoffs decreased in the further rounds.

Also universities kept some seats for the next round as many good and good scorer students may have chosen wrong college by mistake and want to choose good college in next round as they deserved.

Round 1- You will get seat according to your rank and college you have selected.

Round 2- You will get promoted to higher college/branch if the seats are vacant.

Same for the further rounds like 3, 4, 5........, they will take students against the vacant seat.

Good Luck :)
