IEP is one of the program started by Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (International Engineering programme) (IEP) which is in collaboration with TrinityCollege Dublin, University of Dublin (TCD) and University of New South Wales (UNSW) students those who have admitted to undergraduate engineering programs at Thapar are given with an opportunity to study at Irelands leading university well known as Trinity College, Dublin. The eligible students will pursue the first two years of their course at TIET before transferring to TCD in years 3 and 4 of the degree programme, subject to meeting the minimum academic requirements to get transferred to TCD. The final degree shall be awarded by Trinity College, Dublin. The eligibility conditions are the same as for regular undergraduate engineering programs offered by TIET. The following programs are available under IEP:

1. Computer Science Engineering

2. Electronics and Communication Engineering

3. Mechanical Engineering

4. Civil Engineering.

The biggest con is the cost- you will have to pay around 40 lakhs for an undergraduate degree. Also you will have to maintain your CGPA above 8.5 in each semester to be eligible for the last 2 years of study in TCD..
