All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), was conducted by the CBSE Board until 2012. Later the exam name was changed and called JEE which is administered by National Testing Agency. JEE is the way to engineering colleges. With the AIEEE score, students can join the NITs and State institutes which received the AIEEE scorecard. And those who clear the AIEEE was eligible for the IIT-JEE exam.

Now instead of AIEEE we have JEE Main. Now candidate have to clear JEE Main to get admission in NITs and other colleges which accept JEE Main score and then they are also eligible to write JEE advanced and get admission in IITs.
