• GRE also known as Graduate Record Examination and commonly called as the GRE test is conducted by ETS or the Educational Testing Service,

• GRE Test is one of the assessment programmes for graduate admissions to business or law schools.

There are two divisions of GRE Test -


The GRE Subject Test examines the candidate's knowledge in a particular field of study. Subjects covered in the GRE Subject Test include Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology. The duration of the GRE Subject Test is 2 hours and 50 minutes.

The GRE General Test tests student's verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills. The duration of the GRE General Test is 3 hours and 45 minutes.
