Exam Pattern for MA Sociology:

• Weightage for written test is 75%
• Weightage for interview is 25%

The entrance exam will test the student’s general awareness of contemporary social issues and the debates surrounding them . It will further evaluate ability of candidates to comprehend written texts, essays, or general articles on social issues. For the written test, candidates may be asked to write short essays or notes/descriptions about a social situation, or comment on an excerpt from a newspaper or journal article provided.

The exam will consist of a given text of contemporary relevance that the student will be required to read closely in order to answer questions. Apart from basic comprehension, the exam will therefore judge the student’s analytical and writing skills.

75% weightage is given to the written test and 25% weightage is given to the Interview. The exam will test your knowledge of contemporary social issues and debated in the today's world.
