Hi
So clearly it is a matter of choices as the 3 exams will lead you to 3 different trajectories where no path crossing the other. Hence it becomes really vertical you do a astute evaluation of where you really want to land up finally and then the exam won't actually matter much.
Suppose you want a reasonably relaxed work environment and hence look for opportunities in PSU's then GRE no matter how easy it is from GATE will not serve the desired purpose.
Don't make judgements about your life from the exams.
People with really good technical bent end up doing MBA from iims for the sake of good earning prospects and CAT being a relatively easy exam  is easy to clear but end up regretting their choices.

Hi aspirant

GATE: It depends upon the college i.e. if it is private or government. In case of government the total of 2 year expense will be anywhere around 50k-80k(excluding hostel). However, for private colleges it can range from 160k to 200k(excluding hostel).

CAT: The tuition fees will be anywhere from 12 lakhs to 20 lakhs. However, one may get education loan to fund it.

GRE: GRE is given by those who wants to peruse either Management or Master of Science at foreign universities. The cost for living is significantly higher there than India. It will cost anywhere from 35,000$ to 45,000$ a year depending upon the universities. Most complete their MS or Management degrees in two years. However, some complete it in 1 year and 6 months. Getting a summer internship could lower the cost significantly(10,000$ is offered for a typical summer internship). Also, applying for Teaching Assistantship or Research Assistantship can lower the expenses to as much as 50% for the two year course.

Hii Vikrant,

1.If your aim is to clear an exam go for GATE or CAT.A quite cheaper option than GRE and the formalities after that.

2.If you want to remain in engineering field than gate is a platform for doing master in that particular field,or you may also get PSU.

3.but if you want to change your stream than you can go for CAT and can go in business sectors. Its also have lot of potential.

4. Want to study abroad go for GRE.

Hence its all upto you.so choose wisely.

Thankyou

Dear aspirant, all the three exams are good , all that matters in your interest as GATE stands for Graduate Aptitute Test in Engineering, GRE stands for Graduate Record Examination and CAT stands for Common Admission Test. For GATE you need a degree in engineering in any field with eligibility criteria included, whearas in CAT you just need a graduation degree with eligibilty criteria, so it depend on your interest and the fiels you are in.

Hope it helps.

All the best:)
