CA Foundation Exam Pattern 2024 – Details

• The CA Foundation examination consists of four papers.
• Paper 1 and Paper 2 are subjective type papers.
• Paper 3 and Paper 4 are objective type papers.
• The CA Foundation exam is conducted for a total of 400 marks, with each paper carrying 100 marks.

Candidates must successfully clear their 10th and 12th exams from a recognized educational institute . Also, the minimum mark they need to attain in their 12th standards is 50% aggregate. There is no age restriction to apply for the CA foundation.

As of August 2, 2023, CA Foundation registration is open under the new ICAI education plan. In June 2024, the inaugural CA Foundation examination under the updated plan will take place. Candidates must complete CA Foundation registration by February 1, 2024, at the latest, in order to appear in the June 2024 CA Foundation exam. This complies with the directives of the recently implemented ICAI scheme, which mandates that candidates register with the ICAI Board of Studies for a minimum of four months prior to the exam date.

The total fees for registration is 9,600 which includes payment for books.
