Hello Anup,
Spot round is a process of filling of seats in different colleges registered with Josaa like NITs and GFTIs which are left unoccupied after the regular rounds of counselling through Josaa due to any reason.Earlier, it used to be that some colleges which had vacant seats left, conducted their spot round after Josaa's counselling process on their own.For that candidates had to visit the College website to stay tuned for the spot round notice.
But now,the filling of the vacant seats is made more convenient and this process is taken under Josaa and CSAB is the committee assigned for the counselling of those vacant seats. After the regular counselling rounds, candidates have to register on CSAB for the special round if they want to participate in the spot round.Filling of the vacant seats is done on the basis of JEE Mains rank and almost every college registered with Josaa participate in this round.Students have to refill their choices in CSAB counselling.CSAB even conducts two special rounds to fill those vacant seats.
For more detailed information regarding CSAB special round , you can visit its official site.
Hope this helps.
