Computer Science and Engineering is a branch of study where you have two major branches: hardware and software.

In hardware, you may develop computer chips and peripherals; you deal with the integrated circuits (like Intel does) and the major subjects would be Digital Logic and Design, Microprocessors and Interfacing, etc

In software, you can create new software programs and run applications in general. The major subjects are Software Engineering, Web programming, Problem solving and coding, etc

Nowadays you have some new technologies like Machine learning, Cyber security, Artificial intelligence, etc which are the upcoming fields of Computer Science specialisation.

Hope it helps.
