Hello Trisha !

A Bachelor of Arts degree offers higher education in your majors. Courses which you will be study in this specialization  humanities, English, the social sciences, and a foreign language.

A Bachelor of Science degree is generally focus on a specific major , rather than broader education major as does BA in arts . This degree is usually offered in technical and scientific topics like engineering, technology, mathematics, computer science, nursing, and biochemistry .

Also , they are considered equally no one is better than other , it totally depend on your interest that you will like to have a more broader or a specialized education in your major.

If you have any other query please feel free to ask.

Hope it helps !
