ISE stands for Information Science Engineering whereas IT is Information Technology.

If we talk about both the branches in terms of study curriculum then there is not much difference in subjects. You will find some 7-8 different subjects in overall span.

Some companies do not allow students of ISE to sit in placements if they are only for CS or IT. Also there is not much scope for Masters in ISE so one must complete their masters in CS or IT.
