Hello there,

Full form of HKR is Hyderabad- Karnataka Region and full form of GM stands for General Merit. Colleges under COMEDK, KCET follows a reservation policy . KCET  and COMEDK reservation of seats have - general merit (GM), and schedule caste( SC) /schedule tribe( ST) , OBC , candidates belonging to Hyderabad- Karnataka Region (HKR). Hyderabad Karnataka reservation is a state level reservation and is only available for the candidates who have a domicile of Karnataka.

Hello Aspirant,

As you are an engineering aspirant, so you might be asking for KCET/COMEDK because both categories are in KCET and COMEDK so let us discuss about these categories. HKR stands for Hyd-Kar region which comprises of those aspirants who belongs to the common region of Hyderabad and Karnataka but on the other hand GM stands for General Merit so this is the category common to all aspirants other than aby reserved category candidates.
