Hello Aspirant

The final year pro forma certificate is a kind of provisional certificate that your college will issue to you until the original certificate or degree comes.

The official website of CAT 2020 says pro firmaofCertificate to be obtained from the Principal, HoD, Registrar or Director certifying the applicant has obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates) or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks on College/Institution's Letterhead.

This pro forma of certificate is needed only when you get a seat at any institute and you want to proceed for provisional admission.

Hope it helps :)
