Hey, gray acetate of lime is the another name of calcium acetate. It is the calcium salt of acetic acid. Calcium Ethonoate is it's I.U.P.A.C name. Calcium acetate is a calcium supplement which is used to control the level of phosphate in the blood for patient on DIALAYSIS due to kidney disease. Its properties are it is white loose powder. Odourless and taste slightly better. It can easily absorb moisture. On heating At 1.6  degree celcius it  decomposed to calcium carbonate and acetone. Soluble in water.

The main work of grey acetate of lime  is used to control the levels of phosphate to keep them from getting too high in people with kidney failure. The IUPAC name of grey acetate of lime is Calcium Diacetete. For obtaining grey acetate of lime, the acid liquors after leaving the tar settlers are pumped into a series of copper stills.
