UPSEE 2020 Lateral entry will be conducted for admission to second-year degree engineering courses in Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, candidates should always check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam( generally candidate with diploma).After the declaration of result, the authorities will release a merit list.

UPSEE is entrance examination for degree level engineering in Uttar Pradesh.It is direct entry in the 2nd year of the course program and you do not have to study the first year.This is lateral entry is all about.If you take admission in colleges through lateral entry the you will be directed to 2nd year of degree and not in first.

Candidates seeking admission to 2nd year of engineering degree course should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities.

• Candidates should have qualified the 3-year engineering diploma course from a recognized institute in Uttar Pradesh or candidates whose parents are domicile of U.P. will be eligible to apply.

• Candidates should have passed the diploma engineering course with at least 45% aggregate marks. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, the minimum required aggregate marks is 40%.

• Candidates should have passed three years B.Sc. degree and class 12th with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.

• Candidates who are appearing for their final semester exam are also eligible to apply for UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020, but only if they meet the eligibility criteria by the time of counselling.
