When you are applying for any entrance exams like EAMCET, KCET on any other state board set exams you will be asked to choose their local or non local category.

Where local category means if you are residing or studying in the institutions which come under the the state board of the state which is conducting you the exam which you are going to attempt then it is known as local status.

For example when you are attempting the psl schedule be asked to pick other OU or AU or SVU.

Hear that TS EAMCET is being conducted by the Telangana state board and a student who had studied in a school or college under Telangana state board education then he needs to pick the OU category and the students have studied under Andhra Pradesh state board will have to pick either AU or SVU based on the area where they have done their schooling and college.
