Hello!
MD stands for Master of Medicine and MS stands for Master of Surgery. Choosing between the two is purely a matter of personal preference and convenience.
If you pursue MD you become a physician and if you pursue MS you become a surgeon. There are various specialisations in both of them. Neither can take the place of the other and both are equally relevant and important.
Hope this helps!
Hi Prince,
MS is regarded as one of the surgical specialities which include General Surgery, ENT ophthalmology whereas MD is regarded as one of the non surgical fields like :- Medicine, Pediatrics and Radiology etc. These are the 3- years courses. These are the degrees which are pursued after MBBS. MS becomes the surgeon after degree whereas MD becomes a physician after the degree. Surgeon earns more than a physician in one surgery because this is the difficult task. What you want to become is necessary not others opinion. Both the post or degrees are good in their respective work area.
I hope you will make your career good and see that what are the works if MS and MD.
All the best for your future!
