Economically Backward Classes (EBCs) Citizens having annual income less than Rs.1 lakh and have been categorized as Economically Backward Classes (EBCs) in India. OBC I is nothing but the EBC citizens as defined above.

Castes which has been categorised in the list of castes under Category BC (ANNEXURE -II) are called BC2 category.
