Hope you are doing well. As per your query the provisional merit list is basically the same thing as final merit list. If, any of the students in this merit list, doesn’t wish to join /leaves the college, then the students in the 1st merit list will be selected to join in the final merit list and if it is seen that many in the 1st merit list have joined different colleges already, the 2nd merit list will be looked at and if it is also seen that the 2nd has the same result the college management will then look into the 3rd and finally a selected list will be brought forward by the management.
