Bhavani, The mop up round at All India Level is conducted by DGHS for Deemed and Central Universities. In the mop up round the net vacant seats due to non joining, non rwporting from Round 2 will be published in the seat matrix and eligible candidates will be allotted seats according to choice and merit.

Who are not eligible:

Candidates who have joined in Round 2 of Deemed/Central Universities are not eligible.

Who are eligible:

Candidates who are registering for the first time

Candidates who have registered but havent been allotes seats in Round 1 or Round 2

All those Candidates who are holding a seat from Round 1 or Round 2

The remaining seats are transferred to the State after all the rounds and then they are filled through State level mop up level and then college level stray vacancy rounds. In short, Mop up round is a round where in the vacant and unfilled seats are filled up. Even in mop up rounds all students who dont get seat dont participate

In medical admission, Mop up round is a round which basically comes out after the completion of all the rounds . It is for filling all the vacant seats that have been left out after the rounds. Sometimes students leave their seats due to some reasons and the seats become vacant.
