Hi there,

Hope you are doing well these days,

Monosaccharides are the carbohydrates that cannot be gydrolised further to give simpler units of poly hydroxy aldehyde or ketone . About twenty monosaccharides occur in nature. Some examples are:

Ribosomes , fructose, glucose....
