No backlog means you have passed all the subjects of your semester. Since you was declared pass by giving exam of your optional subject, you can mark the no backlog option when appearing for a interview. But the thing is you should be passed in all the subjects of all semesters.

If you have clear all the backlogs till the previous semester then in  interview you can tick the option no backlog. Interviewer can check if you have no backlog then he will offer the job to you.
